Action Jones.... Genre?

As I watch Action Jones, I question to myself, "What does this remind me of?" The only thing I can think of is that it either has a slightly Anime-ish feel or it is kinda like the old school Power Rangers, ya know, back when Power Rangers were the bomb.

What inspires the creators of Action Jones and what is the biggest influence?

Well I know that he and I did watch a lot of power rangers when we were little.

I guess it does seem a bit "Power Ranger-ish" *yay for made up words*. But the films remind me more of some of the older martial arts films. You know, like the ones they play on Sunday evenings because they don't think anyone is watching tv at the time. And getting back to the Power Rangers comparison, the Action Jones characters don't wear suits filled with gunpowder. (Why else would the rangers explode from every impact?)

Well, I'll tell you that old fashioned Kung Fu movies, as well as Star Wars, AND the old 1960s Batman and Wild West are all really big influences on Action Jones and Zurgathon. Yup...well, thats all. Have a great Easter everyone!

HAHA!!! It would be totally awesome if there was a 1960's retro-Batman style episode! Filled with "Pow!" and "Thwack!" and a little dorky sidekick that states the obvious supplemented with odd little catch phrases...

That would be amazing. There could be some guy that delivered totally impossible riddles to the good guys, who would solve them instantly. like the one that went"He who laughs last lauhgs good!" hahaha. Any one remembr that? Question
